It's Women's History Month! Listen in as translational scientist Nikesha Gilmore talks health and gender equity and reminds all of us to do our part to make things better. Gilmore is an assistant professor of Surgery in the Division of Supportive Care in Cancer at the University of Rochester Medical Center, NY. She’s also a molecular pathologist by training and one her goals is to improve the lives of older adults with cancer by addressing the acute and long-term side effects of treatment. Her primary research interest is the development of interventions to target frailty in older adults with cancer and to develop evidence-based solutions to foster health equity for older black patients with cancer.
